Thanks Dave,
I have Hacker's keyboard now showing the Fn key so can get to
function keys in the phone's portrait mode. Landscape is still a
bit of a problem as, when I have a keyboard displayed, it covers
the lower part of the DP screen.
I'll stick to portrait orientation and peer at my 5" screen for
now but I think I can do all I wanted.
Many thanks again,
Michael

If you dig around the DOSBox Turbo settings a bit, you'll find
an option that lets you adjust the screen scaling for landscape
mode. That will probably fix your cropping issue.
Not sure about what you're seeing from Hacker's Keyboard. There
should be an Fn key that gives you the F1-F12 keys, plus some of
the other special keys. Normally the cursor keys are always
present, but I've only ever used it on 7-8" tablets, so maybe it
automatically adapts to smaller devices. There may be some
settings you can adjust to customize the keyboard's
appearance/behavior.

I have it working . . . .sort of.
If I have any keyboard displayed in the phone's landscape
mode, I can only see the upper part of the DP screen and
although I can select the Hacker's Keyboard and see while on
black keys, I can't see function keys or arrows.

I use the Windows version of DOSBox when I want to run DP
(among other things) on a 64-bit machine, and that works
fine. I don't run DP on Android on a regular basis, but I
have done it as a proof-of-concept, and there didn't seem to
be any problems. Installing Hacker's Keyboard will give you
the F1-F10 keys that you need. You could probably even
connect a bluetooth or USB keyboard for longer sessions.

Thank you Dave that looks a promising idea, have you used
it for DataPerfect?.

Hi Michael,
You could always install DOSBox Turbo and Hacker's
Keyboard and run DP directly on Android. :)

Thanks Bruce,
I'm not sure I would know how to do this but must
first think carefully about which data I need to
access and how - directly, via links or both.
I would only need to browse the data and not
update anything on the phone but would like to do
look-ups, or something similar, from more than one
field.
Best wishes,
Michael

Hi Michael,
Good to hear from you again. This is what I
would do, assuming by "access" you mean
read-only on the Android, with infrequent
updates.
Write a report in the database to produce
an HTML presentation, which would likely
consist of many web pages, one per venue
perhaps, and also a "home" page with links to
the various venue pages.
From your phone, using the in-built
browser, visit the home page and from click on
link/button of the venue you need to see. If
you have staff at a database computer, you can
have them run the report whenever important
changes are made to the database panels.
If this overall scenario works in your
case, I can help you flesh out the process (as
there is a missing link or two).
Best wishes,
Bruce
