Hi all,
+1 : DP runs like a charm under vDos!
I have *all* my DP-reports running as html-export files, hence no problem
at all with printer settings etc. (I simply open my reports in a
web-browser to view and/or print them).
I also run the DOS-version of Lotus Symphony (an 'extended' version of
Lotus 123, with a basic wordprocessor, graphics and some database
capabilities) under vDos - a bliss, since no other software could open my
"old" archives from the nineties!
Best wishes to you all!
Geert.

A happy New Year to you too, Charlie. And the others as well of course.
DP runs perfect under vDos. Reports are a bit slower (especially on a
network) but Jos is working on that.

Happy New Year, Everyone!
I just read through the vDos.info home page. I'm very interested in
others' experience with running DP 2.6 or any other DOS programs under
vDos >>on a Windows 10-64 bit operating system.
Thanks!
Best,

I am trying to produce reports via the command line eg:
DP <datafile> /W /Ei=report.log
report.log has just two lines:
-------------
#R:
=1=
-------------
(default report nr 1)
there is no way to get any result, DP just says "Disk read error"
the database works well and I can produce a report while running the
DP (report screen) but not outside.
I am using the DP26YU.EXE btw, I am not sure if its the latest or
some broken beta test version
BTW I tested this not only under "MSDOS player" but Dosbox and
VDOSplus as well, do I need a VM >>>>>machine or real DOS?
Thanks in advance
chris
