Nicely done and with excellent documentation :) It's funny you posted this
today as we were just talking yesterday about how, with Damian and his Latin 
bent, there was no Date::Roman :)

One note about $VERSION - 

For a regular version it should be 1.01 and for an alpha/beta it should be
1.01_01 or somesuch where the "_nn" denotes the alpha. Join me in my
crusade to wipe out version number chaos :) If you look in the HFB dir on
CPAN there is a grok-cpan.pdf that goes into more detail about versions
and such.
