Hi,
CLK enable is controlled by VENC_VIOCTL register.. and don't forget the
LCDOUT register.. I put the value 0x2000 for VENC_VIOCTL.. Yupe,
VENC_DCLKCTL (DCLK control register) and VENC_DCLKPTN0 are very important
for LCD..
I'd experiment with the pattern, and adjust the clock phase/delay to have
the best picture.
regards,
Ari

Subject: Connecting an LCD Display to Davinci
Date: Wed, 27 Sep 2006 11:37:03 +0100
Hello
I'm currently trying to connect an LCD display to the Davinci
EVM using the video output connector DC5. I've managed to
acquire an LCD with a suitable interface (18 bit RGB Hsync,
Vsync, Pixel clock etc.). While trying to get a suitable cable
I'm checking the signals with a 'scope. I wrote a program to
do the basic intializations (using fb drivers) and am now poking
around the VBE VENC and OSD registers. The Hsync and
Vsync are toggling correctly but I can't get VCLK to toggle.
Maybe the DCLK is not setup (No documenation) or some other
register(s) are not setup correctly. I'm still experimenting but would
like to hear from anyone who has:
1. Managed to get an LCD display working on DC5
2. Any documenation regarding VCLK, DCLK control, Pattern registers.
3. Anyone with the same problems
4. Anything related that may help.
Thanks
Rudy.
