Title: Configuration of EMIF

Johannes,

I presume the EMIF you are referring to is the Asynchronous EMIF of the DM6446.  Please refer to document number SPRUE20.pdf (I believe Rev A is the latest, dated June 2006) found at http://focus.ti.com/lit/ug/sprue20a/sprue20a.pdf which describes the TMS320DM6446 DMSoC Asynchronous External Memory Interface (EMIF) User’s Guide.  This document contains the EMIF registers and describes their functionality.

How the EMIF is configured is entirely dependent on the mode of operation of the EMIF that you desire and how the FPGA interface is designed, for example emulating an Asynchronous SRAM or Synchronous SBSRAM.

For your reference, the Technical Reference Manuals for the DM6446 are located at the following folder on TI’ web site: http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tms320dm6446.html

Subject: Configuration of EMIF

Hello All,

I need an access to external hardware such as FPGA over EMIF.

Has anybody an idea how and where should be EMIF configured?

Thanks
