I can't seem to set the OSS sound driver to mono mode (via SNDCTL_DSP_STEREO ioctl call). It's always set to stereo mode. Does that mean I need write a function stereoToMono to convert the raw PCM data to mono and vice versa a function monoToStereo to play it back out? I need the data to be in mono mode to use a codec.
