Hello all, I also have a question about the boot time. The original booting of the default system configuration was more than 30 seconds. I was able to reduce it to less than 20 seconds by disabling the following options:
General Setup -> Support for hot-pluggable devices Device Drivers -> ATA/ATAPI/MFM/RLL support Device Drivers -> Graphics support Device Drivers -> USB support Device Drivers -> Multimedia devices Device Drivers -> Sound Device Drivers -> MMC/SD Card support This time includes the tftp time, but it's still too long. How can it be further reduced? (I would like to reduce my 20 second boot to around 3-5 seconds) I (and I am sure everyone else here) would like to hear of your NOR partitioning adventures. Shame there is no real news regarding a wiki to store all this useful stuff on :( Regards, Andrew _______________________________________________ Davinci-linux-open-source mailing list [email protected] http://linux.davincidsp.com/mailman/listinfo/davinci-linux-open-source
