What Linux version are you using now? If it is that one which comes
with EVM: Montavista 2.6.10_mvl that is known issue.
That was lots of discussions here about that.

msg02361.html Please disregard the speed numbers there because I
messed with sync option that time. Also it depends on MMC/SD card you
are using. For example I found that SanDisk microSD is at least 2
times slower for writing then PNY microSD.
But this driver definitely requires some work.
I did not check the latest git kernel so I do not know what the
status of MMC there.
