Hi,

I've got a few projects that I'm planning to do with the DaVinci
processors. Although analog video design is no problem for me, I'm quite
new to the digital video and DSP area. I'm wondering what resources,
either books or online can help to get a grasp of not only digital media
processing but also how to choose the DaVinci processor that is right
for a specific application.

Even just a functional block diagram showing the logical parts of a
typical application in terms of code, hardware blocks and external
devices required. Do the evaluation modules for the various DaVinci
chips come with this sort of introductory info? I really just need a
gentle introduction to how to think about developing a digital video
application, and some of the major pitfalls. Perhaps this sort of thing
would be good to have on the Developers Wiki.

Anyway, I'm really excited to get started, but want to make sure I
understand enough to steer myself in somewhat the right direction. :)
