Hi! Euan, There is no handshake mechanism that is required to get the digital output on DC5. Configure PINMUX registers for either RGB888 or RGB666, configure PLL settings in VpssClkCtl register if required. Configure, VENC->Vmod, VENC->VidCtl, VENC->SyncCtl, registers properly to get digital output. You should at least be able to see PCLK through oscilloscope.

I have tried configuring the registers myself, I tried installing the HD video drivers supplied with spraan0 and I tried using the register config from those drivers with the old drivers but I am still not able to get a digital output. Could someone who has used the DC5 output please post the configuration that they used? Check previous posts to get more info. You will Have to decide on the LCD type (resolution, interface) and also obtain A suitable cable or adapter. We have connected both 800x600 parallel And 1024x768 ldvs displays. We will actually be using a frame grabber so we will be able to configure it for various input types but we will be sending 800x600 24bit RGB. Could you send me your configuration for the parallel 800x600 display? We build the source with modifications in Makefile and by reducing optimization level from O3 to O2 (since we got internal compiler error when building with O3). Before running the swf files with the built application, we execute startx & and export DISPALY=0:0 When we run the swf file with compiled application, the player closes immediately giving following error Alignment trap: standalone-640- (1357) PC=0x00094ab8 Instr=0xe5810000 Address=0x40e22532 FSR 0x813 Bus error After i executed the instruction echo 2 > /proc/cpu/alignment to hide the alignment trap then i run the same application. I could able to run the .swf files but its too slow. performance is very bad. At the end of running the .swf file, Segmentation fault is displayed on the console. I saw the number of alignment traps as follows. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/workdir/tmp# more /proc/cpu/alignment User: 28018915 System: 0 Skipped: 0 Half: 0 Word: 28018914 DWord: 0 Multi: 0 User faults: 2 (fixup) There are millions alignment traps we can see. Please suggest how to solve Alignment Trap Problem? and How to improve the performance? I've seen a few questions posted about porting Firefox / Mozilla but have read no success stories yet. Also I've seen a press release from Texas Instruments talking about a full version of Opera being available - but haven't heard anyone discussing this yet. Any feedback? I type in: cat /dev/dsp > /dev/dsp and I get nothing coming out of the speakers. I have tested the microphone and speakers in turn and they work, but the board isn't routing the audio through. Is there anything I need to do?? I've basically taken the DVEVM out of the box and configured it to boot from my computer, logged in as root and typed cat /dev/dsp > /dev/dsp. Am I missing something?
