Hi! Young,

MSP430 implementation on DVEVM has got some limitations. I've tried IR
Control for some small purposes. I didn't face any issues with IR. There is
a limitation for I2C protocol for MSP430. It supports speeds upto 20KHz. New
firmware, if available can be loaded to MSP430 using MSP430 JTAG and IAR
Embedded workbench.

We have been having some problems with the IR control on our DVEVM and
are starting to suspect the firmware running on the MSP430. We believe
we have seen bogus or corrupt codes, as well as possibly losing
protocol sync. We would appreciate help with the following:
1 - Has anyone else seen or had problems with the MSP430 IR control?
2 - What protocol (RC5, RC6, RCMM) is implemented on the MSP430, and
is the implementation robust?
3 - Is there newer firmware available for loading on the MSP430?
4 - What loader hardware do we need, and is there any documentation
for loading new code onto the MSP430?

Thanks very much,
Doug Young
