Kim,
YCC8 support is not present on the TI driver. The sections are added
so that it acts as a framework and enables easy implemention.
The LCD support that is presently supported on Davinci is only
through PRGB 666 interface. So for this the davinci_setup taked 'prgb'
as the output.

Thx,
-Manju

Subject: YCC8 format

Hello all,

Is anyone using video YCC8 format? Looks like TI kernel supports it, but
MV kernel doesn't.

However, when looking on the TI driver, I see that
vpbe_davincifb_default_ycc8_config function is empty. I'm not sure why,
maybe there is nothing to do in this mode?

In addition, looks like there is a bug in davincifb_setup function in
davincifb.c. When validating "output=" kernel boot option, "lcd" option
is missing. However, YCC8 format should be used with LCD output, but the
default is set to ntsc. So init_display_function gives "Unsupported
output device!" message.

Thanks,

Kim Klaiman
