Another alternative, if the changes that Steve suggests are more than you want to do, would be to make a second network device available via the USB port. We've used a USB to ethernet dongle for debugging our 355 based board, and it works fine. A third option could be to use an ethernet card for the SDIO (SD/MMC) slot.
