Hi, I am trying to compile davinci resizer driver as a module in montavista kernel uImage. what i am getting is (.o) file instead of (.ko) when i try to do insmod it says not recognizable format.
I tried to compile the driver as static but when i boot the uImage there is specific char device in /dev folder. How would i check that the module was indeed compiled as static? or if i compile it as module how to get .ko file. Also do we need to create char file inorder to work on resizing capabilities of dm355(ex: /dev/davinci_resizer we need to create ?). Thanks regds gopi k
