Hello Petushi, It seems to be interesting question. I spent two weeks on reading TI docs about xDM and xDAIS. I have to say that docs are very strange.
Before telling what I have done, I can mention open question that have something with spiritual things: -- DOES ANY ONE USE STANDALONE xDAIS Algs?? (not xDM codecs) -- Actually I have done next things: 1) I have generated empty template using Component Wizard Control plugin (SPRU424C). This plugin was removed from xDAIS installs after xDAIS 4.0d. Spiritual disappearance. It is still mentioned in SPRU424C. 2) I have adopted project to our Code Style and paths to newer tools and packages (codec engine, framework components, etc.). I removed makefile and made my own project for CCS and makefile for Linux. 3) I have redone test application to move it to DSKT2 instead of ALG module. I have redone memory section descriptions in algAlloc and in .tcf file according to our demo board (eInfochips DVPB) 4) I have made codec engine adapter to port xDAIS algorithm to xDM compliant codec. (read SPRAAE7B). 5) Now we have done (with magic of course, because test applications are very different in codec engine 2.10) test application. Now we are trying to start target debug on Debian and find out why codec adapter code is not working. Conclusion: if you do not have big plans of selling xDAIS algos -- just change demo codec code that comes with codec engine.
