Perhaps could we make a wiki page also on setting up a unionfs/aufs too? 

I'd prefer to use cow images, and I'd really like to use this:
http://wiki.virtualsquare.org/index.php/UMview

It's totally user space, and supports also cow images (that should resides 
for example in a flash partition)
The only problem is that arm it's not supported :D
