Hi prabhaharanr, If you are just going to build the bootloader for you new board. Gel is not necessary even jtag is not necessary. Maybe, you should use tools at http://wiki.davincidsp.com/index.php?title=MMS_UBLs_and_Flashers or dvflasher.
Jtag and GEL are for hardware debug and codec guy. For customized board. Should take care of DDR , Flash and Clock.
