I don't think I've seen such an update from TI...

One comment: it'd be good to see "merge to mainline" on
that list of tasks.

My own summary, specific to DM355 EVM support in the
public GIT tree (now compatible with 2.6.28):

COMPONENT STATUS COMMENT
 boot working
uart working at least, ttyS0 as console
 i2c working
msp430 working including leds, buttons, remote, rtc
 gpio working
edma working ... but needs more cleanup ...
mmc/sd working (the robust rootfs solution)
sdio coded patch sent as RFT [1], no feedback
audio dropouts Troy has some patches in the works
dm9000 not robust works fine on my EVM; not at all on others
usb not robust e.g. can't enumerate usb flash
nand avoid no 4-bit ecc support; nonstandard OOB layout
 spi nyet
video input nyet tvp codec driver in the works
 video output ?
 mjcp nyet
suspend nyet no davinci PM at all yet

The stuff marked "working" in that list is in the same
shape on the DM6446 EVM, except the msp430 (which is
different, the dm355 firmware is less troublesome too).

Also, the 644x/646x EMAC driver looks to me as if it's
nearly ready to submit to mainline. Fixing the ioremap
stuff should be easy; a merge in 2.6.30 looks doable.
Mergeable EMAC is IMO a big change ... but just one! ;)
