Hi folks!
First, be patient, I'm new here. :-) I've been monitoring the list for
a while (and may have even posted a few questions a while back). I've
been working with hardware that is similar to the OMAPZOOM, so I've
been trying to use that set of wiki/webpages in conjunction with
wiki.omap.com to get rolling.

My board is running a bootmonitor (uMon) reliably, and a good portion
of the IO I need is tested and doing ok, so building the kernel is next.
So far I'm not having much luck, so I wanna check to see if I'm even
barking up the right tree...

First, I haven't even been able to successfully get the tree.
  Every time I run this...
   git clone
http://www.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap-2.6.git
it hangs after downloading about 320Mg (I have plenty of disk space).
I assume this is the correct source right?

Second, I searched through the last 6 months of archives for this forum
and found no subject lines containing OMAP3 Is the the correct forum?

Third, I've avoided beagleboard sites because my HW IO is quite different.
Is this wrong? Should I just start there and then adapt from there?

So, I've presented my stupidity (I seem to do that a lot), can someone
straighten me out?
Thanks for any pointers.
Ed
