And the rule of thumb is that if it's not already in a merge queue -- and thus in the -next or -mm tree -- when Linus opens that kernel, don't expect new patches to merge during that two week "merge window" ... or later, unless they're bugfixes of suitable priority. - Dave > After that you have about 2 months of bug > fixing.
