But do those errors happen with *current* code? If not, then MV has an easy path to providing you bugfixes. If you're not willing to try against current code, I think you're asking the wrong people. You should be asking MV to deliver on their support contract terms. > The number of errors that I got from the first time I reboot and until > to the recent one, > seems never incremented even I write/delete files on it. Unlikely, although you might have set it up wrong. Your /dev should be a ramfs or tmpfs, other than a very bare-bones version needed to init the system. - Dave > Thanks, > > -john > > > On Tue, May 19, 2009 at 10:12 PM, David Brownell <[email protected]> wrote: > > On Tuesday 19 May 2009, John Tobias wrote: > >> I am using Montavista kernel 2.6.10. > > > > And I've certainly seen JFFS2 issues with older code. > > Often enough that I stopped using it ... until I was > > quite pleased to be able to start relying on it with > > some NOR and DataFlash chips starting in 2.6.20-ish > > series kernels. > > > > Does the code in mainline still fail for you? > > > > - Dave > > > > > >> On Tue, May 19, 2009 at 3:52 PM, David Brownell <[email protected]> > >> wrote: > >> > On Tuesday 19 May 2009, John Tobias wrote: > >> >> I have tested two scenarios for writing/reading a data on my nand > >> >> flash and it act's differently the nand driver on DM6446. > >> > > >> > You say which OS version you're using, since there are > >> > many versions of "the" nand driver and many versions of > >> > "JFFS2". > >> > > >> > Are you seeing these with the DM6446 EVM and 2.6.30-rc6? > >> > If not, do these problems reproduce there? > >> > > >> > > >> > >> > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ Davinci-linux-open-source mailing list [email protected] http://linux.davincidsp.com/mailman/listinfo/davinci-linux-open-source
