I need more help on using edma in descriptor mode. i.e. use the edma_link
and edma_alloc_slot functionality.
How are these functions used? In LSP2.10 there was only one call
davinci_request_dma, whereas in 3.10 we will have to use edma_alloc_channel
and edma_alloc_slot functions.

How to make use of these?

No, not aware of any such effort.
