Rob:
It is possible to have multiple versions of DB2 on the same box.
Have not tried it, but how about having instance A on version 6 and instance
B on version 7. Have your database cataloged in instance A pointing to the
one on instance B and run your jdbc application on instance A.
One thing I do not like about putting instances on different version is that
you can have only one Admin instance and it will be v6 or v7.
