Scott,
It wasn't a conversion, so I don't really know what the storage difference would
have been. I have to make a new version of the database in the next couple of
days on a different box and I'm debating whether to use a different codepage.
It's for debugging some application problems and I don't want to change too many
things. If I decide to go with the new code page, I'll let you know what I see
storage-wise.

Thanks, Tami.
Was your AIX database always on Unicode or did you go through a conversion
at some point from a different code page? Does your Unicode database
require more storage than a non-Unicode database (I have heard anything from
3X to 4X)?

I have used unicode on a couple of our databases. The only problem I've
encountered so far is that we can't connect from our Os390 db2 to that
database
on aix. There doesn't appear to be a translation code available for it.

Subject: DB2EUG: Changing Code Pages in DB2
Hello listers!
Does anyone have any experience to share changing code pages in DB2 UDB?
This could occur when international companies merge for example. Has anyone
used UNICODE in their environment?
I am interested in finding our what issues and problems might be involved.
TIA!
