Hi list,
over the last couple of years I've tried installing various versions
of the
trial version. As it was mostly for 'fun' I have not been too bothered
about my singular
lack of success. Now I've got to do it for real as I need it for my new
job.

Problem:

1st install hangs at the 'I am configuing your system' message.
(Hard reboot - wait for C: drive check)
2nd install gets further, starts the welcome screen, system hangs after 30
seconds.
(Hard reboot - wait for C: drive check)
DB2 instances start in background, system hangs.
(Hard reboot - wait for C: drive check)
Log on as someone else, kick out DB2 from autostar, logon as me system hangs
after 30 secs.
(Hard reboot - wait for C: drive check)
Log on as me, no system hang but of course no UDB either as I've disabled
it.
AGGHHH!

Any ideas folks?

128Meg, Celeron 400, >1G free space, Windoze 98, (three defined users which
I think is part of the problem)
Other background stuff - Virus checker; CD Writer; Sound card stuff; (maybe
a conflict???)

TIA

Steve T
