Here's what we got from the lab when we encountered DBAxxxx messages with sm codes.

smcode = -35 means that we could not switch to the instance known to the
control center at the remote host to monitor it.
The customer needs to invoke the change action off the instance they are
trying to monitor in the control center and make sure that the "Remote
Instance Name" is entered correctly.  Note that this field is case
sensitive.
