Hi all,
check that the USER running the backup command has access to that library.

We had this problem and it was caused by running under the wrong "implied"
user authority and access path selection.

Subject: Re: [DB2EUG] SAP R/3 DB2 UDB Backup using TSM

The TSM API used by DB2 relies on the DSMI_DIR, DSMI_CONFIG and DSMI_LOG
environment settings, the ones you listed are used only by the TSM BA
Client and not the TSM API.

Hello there,

I have SAP R/3 DB2 UDB V.7.2 Fixpak 6 system installed on AIX (4.3.3)
I also have TSM Client installed V5 on the AIX.
My TSM Server is Windows.

Now I want to take backup (online or offline) of the DB2 UDB database.
I issue the command and get the following error:

db2 backup db test use tsm
SQL2062N An error occurred while accessing media
"/db2/db2bw1/sqllib/adsm/libtadsm.a". Reason code: "610".

I have also the error log of the TSM which writes:
02/05/03 13:28:13 ANS0101E NLInit: Unable to open message repository
'dsmclientV3.cat'

All my necessary parameters (DSM_LOG,DSM_CONFIG, DSM_DIR etc) are set up I
think correctly
and I still get the same error.

To mention I have another database for the datawarehouse (stand alone) and
I backup it up using TSM successfully.

Any ideas on the above problem?

Thanks
