We are in the process of planning our migration to V8. Are there
restrictions of V7 clients connecting to a V8 server. I see in the release
notes and the "Getting Started Guide" there is no support for things like
V8 clients accessing V7 servers with LOB data. An IBM person had mentioned
similar restrictions on LOB support for V7 clients and V8 servers, but I
can't find any reference to any kind of limits.
It would certainly make our migration more reasonable if we could update
the clients later and just concentrate on the server first.
