Hello Jim/John, V7 client can/will attach to V8 instance; depending on type of monitoring one would want to run it is available as well. That said; however, I strongly recommend upgrading to v8 client if you plan to connect to v8 instances only. On the other hand, if you have mix of v6-v8 than you're somewhat out of luck. Regards,

I see in the release notes and the "Getting Started Guide" there is no support for things like V8 clients accessing V7 servers with LOB data.
