2005 -------
- open an arbitrary database document
(I used a MySQL database, connected via ODBC, but suppose this doesn't matter)
- open an arbitrary table therein for editing ("Edit" from the context menu)
- for an arbitrary column, enter a default value
- save/close the table design
- save/close the database document
- exit OpenOffice.org
- start OpenOffice.org
- open the database document
- look into the table design of the table in question
=> the default value is lost
The default value is a client-side setting of the table column, to be stored in
the database document. Other similar settings (for instance the width of a table
column in the table data view) are *also* lost upon restarting OOo.
