What you attached is a screenshot of an error message (which certainly could be
improved, it is trying to tell that it didn't find an Adabas D installation).
Your original bug description states that choosing Adabas D crashs, which is
plain not true - that's why I closed the issue, which I continue to claim was
correct.
Also, if you have an Adabas D installation in your system, then OpenOffice.org
will be able to use it - that's *not* a StarOffice-only feature.
Other than that - Adabas D is still offered for download at
http://www.softwareag.com/Corporate/products/adabas/adad/default.asp. I would
agree to you that it probably is not the most important RDBMS in the world. On
the other hand - we have a driver for it, some people might use it - so why
should we remove the driver?
