For the following I assume that you're a developer responsible for evaluating this issue (please, let me know if I'm wrong). Goal: use an SQL query in an OOo Basic based Writer application - so I explicitly use Base just as a 'frontend' for 'debugging' and demonstration. Problem: the OOo SQL implementation for the (special) case of file based address books (like OE, csv based or TB, xml based - if I remember it right); especially for 'empty' fields using IS [NOT] NULL. b) create an OOo 'database' using the Base wizard, as I do: Base|File|Wizards|Address Data Source - as OE and TB are listed there c) run an SQL query as described in the original post: Base|Insert|Query (SQL View) - only problem might be a localized name of the [complete] address book 'table', in my case its "OE Contacts" for OE and "Personal Address book" for TB And, yes, its reproducible with OOo 2.4.0 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
