Reading you, I understand that a better report would be: - in case such and so there is a change that the import of 2.x settings cause (some) Base files not to open. If you have specific information, that can help to work towards a solution, I suggest that you open an issue for that. Maybe you can clearly rewrite this issue for that purpose? But pls keep in mind, that there might be a relation to the Ubuntu version, which will have it's own system for reporting issues.
