So, reading this here and your other issue 105782, I think we have the mentioned
common understanding now: In all situations where OOo silently commits the
content of the current record to the database, you want it to (optionally) ask
the user for confirmation.
I don't agree to the importance you imposed on that feature, but I agree that it
can be useful in general.
Grabbing issue, having BH owning it does not make sense at all.
