cannot install DBI--please help

Hi,
I am having a problem with installation of DBI.
I am installing it on Solaris 5.8 . I downloaded the tar file from CPAN.
I am getting the following error when i run the "make test" as asked in the
docs:
Can't load 'blib/arch/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.so' for module DBD::Oracle:
ld.so.1: /usr/local/bin/perl: fatal: relocation error: file
blib/arch/auto/DBD/Oracle/Oracle.so: symbol OCIInitialize: referenced symbol
not found.

Can anybody help?
