Never tried myself, but other people had successes with it. Didn't know
about the problem, but I would think that ODBC takes care of that.
There were quite a few posts here before regarding the image data types in
SQLServer, but never a problem like this (as I remember).

Ilya - are you sure that placeholders work with the IMAGE datatype for
MS-SQL and DBD::ODBC?
AFAIK there is a problem with passing IMAGE or TEXT datatypes as
placeholders when using the TDS protocol (which is what MS-SQL uses),
but maybe that has changed with MS-SQL 2000.
(or maybe the ODBC driver handles this internally?)
