This list has too much discussion off the DBI topic, although Perl is intertwined with
DBI--obviously.
Nonetheless, I can't seem to find a Perl list anywhere. Is there one that anyone is
aware of?

You probably should have the metacharacters quoted so a site name like
www.domain.com/~user/index.html doesn't screw up your regexp.
