Hi,
I have been using DBI with Mysql for some time and am quite familiar with
the module and its installation.
Now I have to work with Oracle.
I have installed DBD::Oracle on a machine that has the Oracle Database on
it. This worked well, no problems there.
However this is not what I need. I need DBD::Oracle to work from another
machine as a client to the database.
The Documentation I have managed to find has not helped me much and the
mailing list Archive is just confusing.
So here is my question:
What do I need to do to install DBD::Oracle properly on a client machine.
Machine + DB Spec:
OS: Suse 7.1
DB: Oracle 8i.1.7
I understand I need part of the Oracle installation on the client machine...
which part and where do I put it?
