Thanks for all the great replies. It looks like I'll try DBD::ODBC, at least for fun, until DBD::DB2 is enhanced with driver-specific support. And I'll use THAT until DBI itself includes support for multiple result sets in its language. I hope, for the sake of the folks who will work to bring DBD::DB2 this enhancement, that their efforts will not be discarded when DBI gains this ability, but rather that their code will be nearly 100% reusable.
