We have Oracle version 8 loaded on Windows NT boxes. We also have
ActiveState Perl build 522 installed with DBI 1.14 and DBD-Oracle 1.03.

The problem we are having is that on one NT server everything runs
fine. The Perl program does its thing and connects to the Oracle database
and everything runs with no problem. On the other NT machine everything
runs fine in Perl until we got to the instance where we connect to the
database. Then we get the following error for no known reason:

DBI->connect failed: ORA-00000: normal, successful completion (DBD: login
failed, check ORACLE_HOME/bin is on your PATH) at dbitest.pl line 23

Both of these boxes are identical. Both have the same programs, same
versions, same Oracle instances, everything. Does anyone have any idea of
what we should be looking for that we haven't already tried? Both have the
same registries. Neither of them has the environment ORACLE_HOME set.
