I believe this is a DBI success story (read it on TPJ). A large bank in
Spain (was it) used something like this, using Perl to pre-format a huge
quantity of legacy data for importing into their data warehouse. For
pre-formatting data I believe Perl is a winner. Oracle SQL*Loader can take
care of it after that.
