Hi Michael,
I did use PPM for installing DBI and DBD::ODBC, but I
can't find DBD::Informix and so I posted this email
to DBI-USERS.
Below what I get when running search DBD using PPM:
all DBDs are there except DBD::Informix.
am I missing something or it is correct that they
don't have it pre-compiled.

It does, but you generally don't want to. You should probably be using
ActiveState Perl and they pre-build most modules for installation using PPM.
The documentation for using PPM is part of the ActivePerl documentation.
