As far as I know these attributes are kept private and can't be accessed
through the $dbh object, but I might be wrong:) If you are connecting using
these attributes, why can't you just keep them for later reference?

I'm looking for way in which I could describe server name from

descriptor $dbh insted looking into tnsnames.ora file in order to detect
hostname (server) regards to that specific service.
