Dear gurus !
just installed ActivePerl5 (revision 5 version 6 subversion 1) ,
DBD-Oracle [1.03 ]
DBI [1.13 ]
Trying to connect to Oracle 8.0.5 DB :
$dbh =
DBI->connect("dbi:Oracle:","bro/bro@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOS
T=db53)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=ORCL)))", "")
Getting this error :
DBI->connect failed: ORA-12222: TNS:no such protocol adapter (DBD: login
failed) at C:\MY\perldbi1.pl line 5
All the client connections , except for the perl ones (sql*plus , TOAD ,
odbc , jdbc etc..) work like a charm .
Would U please advise.
