Dear Mr. Bunce:
We are using Perl 5.6.0 and we have tried to install DBI-1.20 from the
package included in cpan.org.
perl Makefile.PL
make
make test
make install
The test gave us no errors, but we are receiving the following error when
we try to "use DBI":
Software error:
Can't locate loadable object for module DBI in @INC (@INC contains:
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/i386-linux
/usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0/i386-linux
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.0/DBI.pm line 158
We looked at line 158 of DBI.pm and you have a comment there which
suggests that we have not installed it properly. Well, we then tried to
reinstall and even tried to install off an RPM package and still got the
same error.
Do you have any suggestions?
