ORA-12154 is a TNS error "unable to resolve service name". this means that the service name you are requesting is not being resolved as defined in your tnsnames.ora file. make sure that if you have more than one ORACLE_HOME on the client box, that you are looking at the correct tnsnames.ora file, and that the database you are attempting to contact is up running and has a service handler in the listener on the server. -- -- Bill "Shrek" Thater ORACLE DBA Telergy,Inc.
