Woohoo! Thanks to everyone that replied! I got my export down from ~200 seconds to 19 seconds. This was for about 300,000 (skinny) rows. I'm still tweaking the cache size, but I'm very happy with this dramatic increase!
Steve was right. That is in the DBI documentation. Doh! Maybe it needs to be in a FAQ somewhere for dummies like me. :)
