Well, "Programming the Perl DBI" by Tim is a great start.  Should be the
first book to get if you already have good Perl knowledge.

The DBI FAQ is also a good think to read.  I'm not fully done with it yet,
but you can take a look at a draft at http://xmlproj.dyndns.org/dbi/faq.html

I would recommend an upcomming book from O'Reilly, but it won't be out for a
few more months, but you'll see an announcement on this board once it's out.
Also I can't recommend it strongly enough to stay subscribed to this list.
There are many many people here that will help you when you run into
problems.
