I guess as much. *sigh* 
Just that the client is using the data offline on his laptop and to
spare him the trouble of exporting and importing the data everytime -
thought of just letting him upload the entire access file.

Seem that it won�t work on linux as yet, I'll just have to migrate him
to a win2k machine then.

Can't be done directly.  You could try using an ODBC/ODBC bridge or the
DBI::Proxy server but I recommend you migrate the database to a network
capable DBMS such as MSDE or MySQL.
