You haven't been reading the list recently, have you? :-) A number of people (myself included) have posted problems with 1.29 and DBD-Oracle over the past two days. DBD-Sybase and DBD-CSV appear unaffected. Apparently, DBD-mysql is also affected. That part about clean installs vs. overwrites is unexpected. Do Tim a favor. Re-execute your tests (clean 1.28, overwriting with 1.29, clean 1.29), capture ALL the output, tack on directory listings and send it all off to him. It might help him figure out what's wrong. I'm going to try clean vs overwrite myself on Solaris with DBD-Oracle. Maybe the problem is in the Makefile; perhaps something is not getting recompiled.
